Bad DVD-R Created

So, here's how I created my DVD-R:

1) authored using PowerDirector Pro 2.5
2) used PDPro to write Audio/Video TS directories to disc (PDPro won't
burn a disc on my machine for some reason)
3) used Instant DVD to burn the disc, using the directories created by
DVDPro
4) resulting disc plays fine on my PC
5) disc will play in my DMR-E20, but has some problems. First of all, I
can't navigate to the different chapters in the primary menu (I've got
22 chapters); also, when I try to play anything after chapter 3, the
E20 starts to freak out - it starts skipping through the chapters
instead of just playing them

So, what did I do wrong? I used UDF 1.02.

Try another authoring program?


The more popular authoring programs are

DVD Maestro and Ulead DVD workshop and burn to the folders.

Use Prassi Primo to burn onto a DVD instead of Nero (works better with cheap media)
