This is what happens. I have tried a couple of capturing applications (Scenalyzer, Vegas Video mainly. Vdub I couldn't get to work).

When I first open up the application the video preview will be there, then when i do a capture and try and do another capture there will be no preview and won't let me capture anymore. The only fix for this is to shut down the computer and restart, then it works again but only that one time.

Sometimes it won't come up at all and I will have to shut down and reboot.

I am using a Canopus ADVC-50 connected to a firewire card, and I have a VCR connected to the ADVC-50.

Any help would be great.
