Out Of Curiosity NEWBIE OR NOT NEWBIE
I’ve been a registered user of TMPGEnc for about one year now. Just recently purchased a DVD recorder (Pioneer A05 4X). I have been thru this forum, FAQs on
vcdhelp.com for two months now.
First of all I would like some INPUT on what you guys think the BEST SETTINGS
Are for taking an AVI and CONVERTING it to a compliant MPEG2 for a DVD-R.
I use Ulead Movie Factory to AUTHOR and sometimes BURN. NERO to BURN as
Well.
Some problems that I’ve noticed after (what seems to be a successful conversion / author /burn from AVI to DVD-R…
NOTE: I play these on a SAMSUNG 221 – and SAMSUNG M301
I notice that every now and again the picture will jump for a MILISECOND – I’ll use VBR with a between bit rate of 4500-6000. Noise reduction and slow encode (usually takes about 12 hours longer on a 700MB AVI file.
Does anyone believe that these kinds of things could happen because of the way SOME RIPs from DVDs to AVIs???
ANY INPUT OR ADVICE WOULD BE TAKEN GRATFULY!!
King Regards,
