i am trying to encode a xvid with ac3 sound (scarface) to mpeg2 using tmpgenc and toolame for sound i have used this method before with success but this time i get an error message with tmpgenc at 97% that says (stream writing error) i tryed scanning for bad frames with virtualdub and none detected does anyone know what this error message means or how to solve this problem it is getting very frustrating because all is ok untill 97% complete and i realy want this movie in my colection![]()

Have you tried changing the settings in tmpg,enviromental setting-VFAPI
plug-ins or tried using goldwave for the audio. This might help, but I have probs with some xvid. It seems there is a lot of probs about with Xvidfilms!
Hope this gives you some ideas!

Convert with Panasonic Mpeg1 Encoder........... I do all Xvids with Panasonic. Try it. It takes some more time to do......but does it really matter? Also install Ffdshow. D.C. 8)

yes i have tryed changing enviromental setting with no luck still get same error message at 97% i can get tmpge to finish if i chose (es video+audio) but now i have 2 files a video file and a audio file how do i jion the 2 into one file so i can author and burn to dvd
