  1. I burned the first disc to "NARC" SVCD after i did the header trick but it wont let me do it for the second MPG file. why not? I unchecked the "Create Standard Compliant CD" dialog box? so why could I burn the First MPG which was 820 megs and I cant burn the second MPG which is 811megs?

  3. whats NARC svcd? is second CDR different to first one ? have you checked "allow overburning " on nero options? sometimes megs reported by explorer and nero are different 80min cdr should take 800meg maybe a little more, 820 is right on the edge?

  4. I am having sort of the same trouble. I tried burning a vcd that was 79 minutes long and was 770mb but it wouldnt allow it to be burnt onto a 700mb 80 min cdr. Any advise?

  5. It may be a setting in Nero thats not correct. Or you may have to remux the mpeg1/mpeg2 file first.

Check out my suggestions in the thread below:

A couple things surrounding this I've come across personally

First thing is that Nero overburning setting, when it's not defaulted to off, tends to default to not a very big value - like 81m, 81m30, which is not enough for an 820mb video.... Hunt around the advanced settings and increase this. It's designed to stop clueless newbies trying to burn 99 minutes on a 74 minute disc or something and damaging their burners (it used to be locked to about 77 minutes before 80 minute discs were popular enough for Ahead to notice them IE the whole world had switched to them 5 years previous...). I trust myself not to do anything quite so drastic -that- often, so I've altered mine to 99m 59s 74f.... despite never burning a CD in excess of 82m 15 yet.

Another that still catches me out from time to time until I remember about it, is that the program has a habit of defaulting to a totally retarded set of values in 'compilation info' (or whatever it is, on the File menu ). You can set it to proper things as much as you like, but as soon as you burn even a slightly odd CD, they'll stick in that odd manner and you'll have to continually change em back for the next 5 CDROMs or so. In this case it's likely that the burner has been set into Track-at-once mode for no reason other than Nero is feeling pugilative. Just find the setting under burn speed, change it back to Disc at Once or Disc at Once-96 and everything should be fine again.

This happened once right after I installed a new CD burner, and I went a whole week thinking that the new drive was all well and good working at a higher speed, with Burnproof, but it was such a pain it wasn't overburn capable....!

Back after a long time away, mainly because I now need to start making up vidcapped DVDRs for work and I haven't a clue where to start any more!
