  1. Will any MPEG Decoder card register with DVD Maestro to do real time previewing? I was think of picking up an older card, the Real Magic Hollywood Plus.

well I don't have DVD Maestro but I DO have a Hollywood plus
while the H+ is a very good mpeg decoder - it does not appear to work with any applications - only the custom written viewing app
about the only thing you could do is - burn the DVD image to disc and view it through the H+ then - mind you it's probably not worth the effort for that

  3. Yeah that what I do now but it's just a pain in the ass waiting for it to do that when you want to perfect small things like subtitles, or audio, or how certain menu stuff looks.

  5. Did some searching looks like Sonic bought Ravisant who made that product? I don't see them offering it anymore. Am I correct in this?
    Is there any similar software?

    Thanks

no -- only cinemaster 2k or the OLDER version 1.x software worked with maestro .. both no longer sold

BUT cinemaster dvdplayer is still being sold - current version is 1.5x something ......but it doesnt work with maestro at all..

don't even ask where you can get the older versions ..

  7. Do the hardware cards also do it? If so which ones, since I see a few cheap ones on ebay.

    Thanks

  9. Seems as though Cinemaster 99 came bundled with DVDit that I purchased a year ago and it works great in Maestro. I don't really like DVDit but the player itself is valuable.

cinemaster 99 -- that is the older one than cinemaster 2k ... i couldn't remember the version .. the cinemaster that comes on the maestro installation cd only runs on nt4 and is a version before that one (99)..

  11. I'm running Windows 2000 and the Cinemaster 99 I mentioned above works flawlessly in Maestro. That maybe easier to obtain than the 2K version.
