Yo, i need help on accomplishing this task. I have a avi that is 729 mb, and I need it to fit on a disk. My last result is converting it and splitting it. i tried the conversion to mpeg1 and that sucks was 1gig in size. I have tried all the compression tools like rar and zip. Somebody please help me. I am willing to convert it to anything, or split it up. Thanks.

Well shit, its nice to be able to fart around and figure shit out on your own. Thanks for the how to forums also.

well i personally didn't respond because of the use of the word "yo" instead of hello. but then the foul language in the second post from you makes me want to ignore you even more. If you want some help, try being polite. Being rude an acting like an illiterate, ebonics speaking moron doesn't help. just wanted to point that out.

Hey the subject wasn't all in caps so it's not bad. Anyway there's tools to cut .avi but I don't know what they are. Seems stupid to take 2 CDs for such a barelly bigger than a CD file. You could always just buy an 800mb CD or something.

HELLO .hehe, my bad. I didnt realize YO wasn't an acceptable hello. And, shit is really not considered foul language like it used to be. I mean, geez, its said on almost every cable channel, and I believe that Southpark said the word 163 times in one episode. Thanks though.
I didnt mind using two cds, the cost a couple cents a piece. Besides, I enjoy trying new things and "getting my hands dirty." Thanks
