vob files arent useable?

After I author the mpeg in ULEAD DVD, i make the folder and I see the VOB file, but it's icon is that of a file and not a cd or player icon. What am I doing wrong? When I go to nero and try to add the file it says "unsupported".

what exactly do you mean??
if you have made a dvd folder you should have got a video_ts folder with vob,ifo and bup files that you can burn in nero www.vcdhelp.com/nerodvd

When I make the mpeg2 in TMPG, i tkae the mpeg and choose DVD VIDEO in my NERO 5.5. It doesnt give the option of choosing VOB. Also, I downloaded those VOB dolby trailers, and the icons for them are like archived files and I can only play them if I open POWER DVD. Nero will not take them even though they are VOB files. Whats the deal?
