  1. i have a 780mb mpeg that i'm trying to burn using nero. but when i get to the burn page, it gives me a "not enough space on media" message.

    I've read that you can fit 800mb of video on 80min CD.

    What am i doing wrong??? i have nero 5.5

    You are trying to burn the mpeg as (S)vcd using the wizard, right? Because if not and you are just trying to burn the Mpeg straight it will give you that error.

    To over burn in Nero you need to go to preferences and click on the Expert Features tab. Click on the second box. Type in 82:00 for the maximum amount of minutes that you want Nero to burn for you. You might want to check you CD Burner and see if it supports overburning or else you will probably get an error at the end of disc and your disk probably won't be "finalized".
