  1. I have managed to convert successfully a Divx-avi movie to the correct mpg-1 (yes, -1) format for DVD.

    First of all, with VirtualDub i take out the Audio of the movie as uncompressed PCM.

    Still using VirtualDub, I save up the Video with 25fps.

    Using SoundForge I then time-stretch the audio to the same length as the 25fps Video, and save it.

    Now, using TMPGEnc I start the conversion with the following parameters:

    Template = Video-CD PAL
    with these changes:
    MAX numbers of frames in a GOP = 15
    Audio sampling frequency = 48000 Hz

    The resulting mpg file is accepted basically by all DVD authoring progs.

    Now to my problem:

    This mpg file plays real well, but the audio gets out of sync after a while.
    In the beginning it's perfect, but halfway into the movie (more or less)
    it starts to get out-of-sync.

    How the h--l do I fix this???

    Please give me some suggestions

  3. Yes, that is correct. But in order to play such a file on a DVD player, one of the parameters that cannot be changed is the audio freq, which has to be 48000 Hz.
