  2. First you have to know about XSVCD which I guess you've already known about that. You can read more from this "http://www.vcdhelp.com/xvcd.htm"

XSVCD has only a few specs that different from SVCD like resolution and video bitrate. Then you can follow a guide for SVCD then tweak/change setting to match your liking and that you are making XSVCD.

  3. this might be a stupid question but um..is XSVCD just a non standard SVCD...? because I was searching for it and really didn't find what I was looking for..considering it is Xtended and with a non standard you burn up tp 800MB's...? Imkinda confused..

    DivXerouS:

There are three specifications for SVCD's:

    PAL:

    Video:
max ~2524 kbit/sec MPEG-2 (if the audio is in 224 kbit/s), audio + video bitrate max bitrate is ~2748 kbit/s.
    480 x 576 pixels
    25 frames/second
    with up to 4 Subtitles

    Audio:
    from 32 - 384 kbit/sec MPEG-1 Layer2
with up to 2 Audio Tracks

    Extra :
    Menus and chapters.
    Still pictures 704x576,352x288

    NTSC/NTSC film:

    Video:
max ~2524 kbit/sec MPEG-2 (if the audio is in 224 kbit/s), audio + video bitrate max bitrate is ~2748 kbit/s.
    480 x 480 pixels
    29,97 frames/second
    23,976 frames/second with 3:2 pulldown (NTSC Film)
    with up to 4 Subtitles

    Audio:
    from 32 - 384 kbit/sec MPEG-1 Layer2
with up to 2 Audio Tracks

    Extra :
    Menus and chapters.
    Still pictures 704x480,352x240

    ________________________________________________

If you change any of these specifications outside of it's allowable value you are creating an XVCD. This is usually done by increasing the video bitrate and/or increasing the resolution.

Any variety of VCD, SVCD, XVCD, XSVCD, etc can be written to an 80 minute CD to hold approximately 800mb of combined video and audio data.

I'm sorry I can't really help you with your original question.

    Yes, XSVCD's are basically Non-standard SVCD's with Non-standard bitrates. :P
