  2. If you just want to cut your file in two or three parts I'd give MpegTool a try. It works great for me and it is very fast.

    the only problem with that is that i need it to do it to mpeg2 as oppose mpeg1

  4. It cuts mpeg2 just fine. I allways convert to SVCD (2 discs) and I allways use MpegTool to cut the file in two.... it has never failed me.

    lol sorry you were right... for other reading this post the problem was that the mpeg2 that i was using was created by dvd2svcd and i guess that the two didn't get along... sorry about the confusion

  6. ryanreko, is this what you are using now ? I am looking for cut tool too.

    What about TMPGEnc ? Does their "MPEG Tools" cut re-encode ?

  7. TMPGEnc does not re-encode and cuts pretty good.

  8. That is how I found this post and still couple of more results are waiting to be scan through... and on second computer it is cutting right now... just was wondering why it takes so much time... but since I am still reading results of my search I can't ask, right ?
