I have futurama season 2 region 2 (pal), i had plans to backup this fine collection on VCD's... But when i convert it to VCD via TMPGEnc i get some sort of ghost effects and the video is flickering (interlaced) but somehow these problems dont go away even when i try to use deinterlace on my video, i've tried odd fields, even fields etc. the video still comes out with scanlines and ghost effects, any suggestions on how i can solve this problem? thank you!

i had a similar problem with capturing and converting animation. the solution for me turned out to be converting to NTSC Film (23.976fps) and using inverse telecine but my source was NTSC (29.97fps), don't know what you can do when your source is PAL.

ty, i've heard from several anime rippers that all new anime wich is released in PAL Region 2 is converted from 23.976fps to 25fps this speed up cause a blended frame every 24th frame, also the intelaceing is causing the 24th frame to blend with the 23th and 25th frame wich makes a odd looking ghost effect, does anyone have any suggestion how i can deinterlace this source ?
