    Hiya Fellas, I got a .avi movie and i used TMPGEn to convert it to .MPG.. Well after 3 hours it finished and i played the movie back on my pc to see if it came out right, well for the first 5 min of the movie the sound was insync, But then it started to get more and more out of sync.... What the heck went wrong??? Can can you please help me on how to convert it with out any problems? im trying to get this baby on a vcd so me and my wife can look at it... Any help will do... Thanks alot fella's..... Dee

  2. You might want to try to encode the video and audio seperately and then mux them together. You can use Virtual Dub to extract the audio and then encode it as a MP2 (audio) file with tooLame. Then use TMPGenc to ONLY ENCODE the video to a MPV (video) file. Then use bbMPEG to mux the MPV and MP2 file to generate your MPEG.

    It sounds like a lot but is actually fairly simple Luck

    Also did you have to change the framerate at all during the conversion? If so then you are changing the speed at which the movie plays, which means you have to also change the speed of the audio or else you will lose sync.

  4. You can skip the BBmpeg mux step....TMPG lets you set up an audio delya for whatever time you wish in Source range option

    You are losing frames as the recording progresses.
    TMPG Enc. seems to be at a lost for helping this problem, and in some cases even causes it to become more appearent.
    Try MpegTool to re-encode the file, sometimes it helps.
    Then you can cut and paste with TMPG Enc.
