  1. I've got Nero 5.5.6.4 and it won't recognize my cd burner, which is HP CD Writer 8200e. I have checked their compatibility with the HP burner and that is OK. I have looked on Nero's website, but still can't find any info on getting it to recognize my burner. Any help would be appreciated. I hope Iposted to teh right forum. Thanks

  6. If that drive is less then 6 months old you need a newer version of Nero, when I got my HP DVD200i I had to go to NERO 5.5.917 before it would see my DVD Drive.

  7. Nope. The Drive is about 2 years old.

  10. Try ForceASPI located in "Tools".You might try a demo version of RecordNow:http://www.easy.co.jp/jrn45/sonyos/

  11. Yes, the only option I get is the image recorder.
As far as forceaspi, I tried what someone else suggested and it made no difference.

  12. This might be stupid question, how do you check if it can see Burner ?

in menu "Recorder" / "Choose Recorder" ?

And what about to update to new version ? There are some issues, but they should be DVD related if I am correct.

  14. AH HA! I found a fix!
Go to http://www.peregrine.com.my/tech.cfm near the bottom and get
    wnaspi32.dll Nero Ver.2.0.1.16 ASPI Driver - for Windows NT/2000
put it in the Nero folder and replace the wnaspi32.dll that is already there.
I just did it and it worked!
