How do I capture as DV type 2??

I am trying to capture as DV type 2, but all my files are still Dv type 1 even if I select the template to use DV type 2. My software is Ulead video studio 5 (I downloaded the VS6 trial). My camcorder is a JVC GR-DVL510u.

Do I need to reainstall something?? Should I get a new software to capture as DV type 2??

I tried that tool, and it works fine. I would like however, something that has the ability to capture DV as type 2 AND has scene detection (each scene goes into a file).
