I Just bought a dvd burner and want to convert my svcd's to "True " Dvd-r. I follow the guide and when i play my resulting Mpeg2 file the audio is out of synce with the video. It also gets gradually worse through the film to where its off by a full second or two by the end of the film. Im frustrasted. Is there any guide besides the ones here and at doom9? Could someone help me Im at my wits end.

Try posting a few more details about the proedure you followed. Just syaing you followed 'the guide' is a bit vague.
However one suggestion. If it is a gradual los of sync problem, which you hint at, and you are re-encoding to full DVD resolution, then make sure you also encode to the same framerate as the original.
