Yes, I have. I am assuming that you are using the 2.50 CCE plugin for Premiere. There is a bug in that plugin that can easily be fixed (by you). Get yourself a HEX editor and do the following:

After you download a Hex editor, you're going to open the premier plugin file in it (cm-mpeg-cce.prm), and then you're going to go to the address 3701 (hexadecimal mode). Here, you should find this value: 82 which is going to be changed to 9A.

After you change it, go to File/Save and voila! You have a working CCE SP 2.50 Premier plugin working on Premier 6.0!

    SLK001,

I think you also need to "fix" the timecode. It defaults to 01:00:00:00, which can cause major headaches with multi-pass (at least it has for me). Reset it back to 00:00:00:00 for proper timecode.

The timecode is part of the Standard template. Just load the Standard template, edit to your standards, then hit the REPLACE button. You will never be bothered by the 01:00:00 timecode again. (Never could figure out the reason for the 01:00:00 thing...)

  7. Wondering if SLK or anyone found a similar fix for 2.29 CCE plugin for AP? I have the same problem of number of frames set to 1.

The fix for 2.50 worked, thanks SLK.

I use the CCE 2.64 plugin with Premiere 5.1 with no problems.
Have you tried frameserving to the CCE stand alone encoder ?

  9. Frame serving from Premiere 6 to CCE 2.50 (demo) always worked for me. It's just that my CCE 2.29 is the real thing, no logo. It worked as a stand alone but not as a plug in nor as a frame server. I have been creating AVI's then encoding using it (4-5X real time all in).

I also use TMPGEnc and LSX, but prefer CCE.

  10. Mine works ok as long as I dont export audio with it. Thanks for the tip on the hex editor.

I have a question about CCE with Adobe.

I see the setting for upper field first in the CCE settings but there is also a place in the keyframe and rendering area of Premier to set this too. It has a setting for upper first, lower first , or no frames.

How does this affect the CCE encoder? Should this be set to none in the keyframe setting and set to upper in CCE??? If it is set in CCE is the setting in the keyframe area ignored?

I have a bit of trouble. I got some great results encoding my NTSC HI-8 movies with my DV.NOW.AV card and then editing with Premier and encoding with the CCE plugin for video and the LSX for audio , saving to DVD with MyDVD. They look great on the TV but are jerky on the computer. I think it is a field order problem but how do I make a DVD that will look good the computer and the TV?

Im reading all I can here on this, sorry if the answer is already here...getting a head ache.

  11. I came across with another problem. After the first encoding when CCE got frozen, as it often does with many people, I cannot fix the bitrates in the settings of the plug-in. They automatically switch to 500, and will not change back to what I want. Anyone had this problem before? Thanks!

For those that do not understand the significance of the time code setting 01:00:00:00, I suggest you read my post Advanced Conversion-> Some "CCE Myths" 22.12.02.
