Nero 5.5.9.14 Shuts OFF

YES, I am a VERY newbie.
Program: Nero 5.5.9.14, Windows 2000 prof., 48 GB, 1.3 ghz, 512 Ram, Laptop. No other programs running.
Nero Express --> Videos/Pictures --> Video CD --> Add --> (search for the video .mpg file and highlite it) --> Add ,
THEN the program completely cuts off. What could be the problem? I am pulling out what little hair I have left!

It WILL burn the video .mpg file onto a CD and will re-play on my computer when I open a video player on the computer, locate the file, and click on it, but I want to put several linked video .mpg files onto a cd that will automatically boot and play in any video player, or computer
one video .mpg immediately after the other.

Don't know what the problem is with your Nero but try using VCDeasy instead. Its a lot better and easier to use especiallly if you want to add more than one mpeg to a disc.
