xbox picture quality

I am consdering getting an xbox for playing DVD/SVCD/VCD/DivX. You can do it with a modded xbox and xbox media player which is here http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/newweb/news_latest.php


Has anyone used the xbox with xbmp or just for general dvd playing? This looks like it could be pretty cool but I am picky when it comes to the video quality, the PS2's for instance is pretty bad IMO for dvds but I have never seen an xbox in use.

Yes I use it all the time. As with every thing on this site it all depends on the video. Nothing will help bad video play back better. I am sure u know this just like to say it. But it works great and takes a little work to get the way u want it, but once u master it it is great, and they always have easy to use updates. Just modding and setting up the xbox so everything runs from the HD is not for the faint of heart. But u always can just run from cdrw or dvd for that matter. Hope this helps.
