I am looking to transfer/archive several videotapes to digital and have experimented with creating VCDs and SVCDs. I am not happy with the quality of the VCD and am barely happy with the SVCD.
I used both Pinnacle studio8 and VCDeasy to create the VCDs and SVCDs ( I used vcdeasy to get some entry point options).
I have a dazzle DV bridge for bringing in the VHS video signal.
I want to get a quality that is as good as the VHS and I want a fairly simple worksflow.
I would be grateful for any suggestions as to a set up to use.
What time should I be able to get onto a mini(c)DVD and still have acceptable quality?
TIA.
