  1. Can anyone help, i am trying to re-encode an avi file to mpg using tmpge.
    I have already extracted the audio and video seperatly, but every time i try to re-encode tmpge freezes, or my computer resets itself............ help?????????

  2. Perhaps your AVI has bad frames.

  3. Try this...

    I always feed the video stream (specially from avi's) with no audio to my encoder with virtualdub. If there are any problems with the avi file. Virtualdub usually takes care of them where as your encoder might crash.

  4. Your processor might be overheating. You might want to consider some cooling equipment. Try www.crazypc.com for some upgrades.
