Mostly curious, but it's bugging me.
If you look at the information in the "pre-recorded information in lead-in" as returned by utilities such as ADVDInfo:
Complete Manufacturer ID (ADVDInfo):
004200000140C1FD9ED8500002370E0B .B...@....P..7..

According to the MMC-3 spec the bytes "FD9ED8" are the Last Address of the Data Recordable Area. If you don't have your hex calculator handy the value above is 16,621,272 decimal.
I was expecting this to be in units of PSN (Physical Sector Numbers) with a size of 2,048 bytes.
But no power of 2 produces a reasonable value!
For example 256 results in 4,255,045,632 which is too small.
Any ideas???
