My problem is that I have hundreds of mpegs/avi I have either created or caputured over the years that up until now I have just played off the computer which dosn't really give a crap about specs. Now that I have a DVD burner, is there any app that I can load up that will give me a quick spec overview of the file without me having to load up each one to see if it sompthing I can author without having to re-encode.
Somthing like a jpeg viewer that when you highlight the file or files it states
filename.mpg 352x288 mpeg1/VBR 1.2 mbs audio-mpeg layer 1
etc....
I realize I will still have to convert all the files that arent compliant. but at least I know which ones before the authoring software digs into it.
