I used TMPGEnc Plus to edit out a portion of a VCD and then merge the two pieces back to one. I then used Nero to burn it, but it objected with an error about Stream encoding not complying with the MPEG-1 standard.
I've looked but couldn't find a way to tell TMPGEnc Plus (MPEG Tools) NOT to do Stream encoding. Is there a way? I realize Nero can reencode it, which may or may not help the matter, but I'd rather get it right to begin with. The original VCD file (before editing) does not have this problem.
And what if I just let Nero burn it despite this problem? Is this a major or trivial deviation in terms of standalone player compatibility?
Thanks
