I had read on the DVD2DVDR extremely long thread, a while back, that IFOEdit has a problem with "pulldown" files and that is why there is a time issue where the movie is shorter then the original because IFOEdit has problems handling pulldown files. I have always used Maestro for pulldown files, since I get the correct time with Maestro. If I just ripped a movie that would fit on a DVD-R after stripping some of the extras, I would use the open IFO function in IFOEdit and select VOB EXTRAS and I would get new IFO's for the stripped movie. The time was perfect when I did this. But I just ripped Halloween Resurrection, NTSC and kept angle "1" and I figured I would use IFOEdit to author the DVD, since I only had an .M2V and .AC3 file, which were not "pulldown." I did everything as normal, added my subtitles, got subtitle colors correct, but when I played the movie, instead of their being 15 chapters, there were only 11, but more interestingly then that, the time issue was there again!! The backed up movie was about 1:10 minutes, while the original is about 1:30 minutes, about 20 minutes longer or so.

So it appears that it isn't "pulldown" files IFOEdit has a problem with, but just the complete authoring function period! I am using the most current version which is 0.95. If someone could explain why this is happening, I would appreciate it. I was under the impression that pulldown files were the culprit to this problem, but it looks like it's just IFOEdit and authoring a new DVD. Thanks in advance
