Can any of you wisened old hacks out there recommend to me the cheapest dvd player on the market out there with essentially the widest range of quality abilities... i cannot find an apex 1500 to purchase in the uk i'm off back to barcelona in a few days and i'm tired of googling around to find out if the various players that i might have access to purchase on my meagre budget have sufficient svcd, mp3 etc. capabilities wid or widout hacks. comprende![]()

Well I have no idea if they sell this across sea's but here in the states you can get a hold of a Daewoo 5900 for $69 and it plays the following formats perfect.
DVD, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD+RW, MP3, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD, XVCD, SVCD, XVCD. -
asda (wallmart ) do a pacific dvd player that will play anything you throw at it for £69.95
