Lost Power while I was a way at work. Do I have to Start over?or pick up where the file stopped. I was in the middle of converting [20 hrs.converting time] the movie is 1hr 24min it converted 1hr 10min when the house lost complete power. thank you for any help

Well since you don't really list the software I'll assume it was something like tmpgenc or virtualdub. Have to start over.

I am sorry You were right it was TMPGEnc Plus..... I was afraid of that [ Start Over ] there goes another 20 hrs of processing and having my computer tied up ......

you could also start up where you left off(I am assuming that the file converted SOME of the video and audio and it is saved as XXXXXX.mpg). You could start the process, load the template and then go to source range and start where it died on you before and finish the encoding and then just either merge the two together after it is all done or load the two separate mpg files into your burning program.
