    i have a question (it might be a bit OT)....

    my friend lives in england and she is buying a digital camcorder.... she was asking me what it means by 'DV input' and 'DV output' on the camera.... i told her that it was the same thing as Firewire, and that they probably just call it a different thing in England..... but I'm not sure if this is true!! just wondeirng if anyone could shed any light on this!

    Yes. DV IN/OUT is a firewire connection.
