    does anybody know about software that makes a 1:1 copy of a dvd?

    im unsure what you mean by 1:1 and waht dvds you are referring. comercial dvds cannot be copied "1:1" dvd-rs can be copied by many programs. i use nero

    by 1:1 i mean an exact copy including the protection of a commercial dvd, like blind read/write for cd's

    No. Due to the copy protection of which you speak. All commercial disks must be decrypted first.
