  1. I have a selection of M2V and M2A files on my XP Home PC.

I can happily conver these to MPEG on the older of my two PC's but not on the newer faster one.

TMPGEnc states that "Can not oopen or unsupported"

I have tried installed the Power DVD codec and DivX v5.

But it still fails..... it works on the slower machine, but I dont know what codecs have been installed.

Is there an eay way to find out what codes are installed on one PC to compare to another?

Are there any help pages for TMPGEnc??

Can you play the file with Media Player? If it does you can give the directshow multimedia file reader a higher priority and it should work.
Do this is environmental setting -> vfapi plug-in.
