    Hi,


    Does anyone know of a piece of software that will tell you what type the DVD media is? e.g DVD5 DVD9

    In DVD Decrypter choose Mode / ISO / Read. Then you should see "Number of Layers:"

    1 - means DVD5
    2 - means DVD9

    At least that is how I understand it.

    look at the disc. 1-5 vobs =DVD5, 6-9 vobs =DVD9.

    hasnt anyone thought about why these discs earned their names?
