  1. Hi

I have encoded a divx to SVCD with TMPGEnc but when I tried watching it on my tv 1-2 inches on the left and right sides don't fit the screen
It isn't that annoying, but since I'm encoding something with subtitles I can't see the first and the last couple of letters of most sentences

I've solved this problem in the past by using center as video arrange method but when i tried that now it gave me a little window in the center of my tv screen...

    plz help me out

The best settings for encoding to SVCD is Video arrange method = Full screen (keep aspect ratio). If it is a widescreen movie you will likely have black bands at top and bottom. If it is a widescreen TV you will likely have black bands to left and right as well, but usually such TVs allow you to adjust the picture easily.

Some of the actual picture will still be missing because of overscan which is a propery of your TV (do a search here). Normally you do not miss anything of import, but when you add your own subtitles you must be sure not to go too close to the edges of frame. I know, because I did just the same thing.
