Just purchased a Sony DRU-500A DVD burner today and I am new to all this. Does it normally take 6 hours to convert a single DVD from AVI with TMPGEnc? Is there another program that will do better? What is the best burning program to use as well? I would appreciate anyones help as I am lost!!!
Thanks in advance!

never converted to dvd,but as vcd i do a little less then 1x-example:a two hour movie would take like 2 and half hours and i have an 1.6 ghz processor.i dont know your speed but its alot slower then mine and my guess is yes it would take you 6 hours from your profile.

as for burning software, nero is popular.i use ulead dvd movie factory which does burn dvd.just any one that works.
