I am uploading AVI files to youtube using my Canopus ADVC 110 and the software being Edius Neo. Neo has a lot of different AVI file formats so that's what I use.
Basically, I want to cut the time for uploading significantly without sacrificing video/audio quality once it's done. What file formats should I use? I hear mpeg 4 is a good choice but Edius Neo only has mpeg 2. I tried that windows media file format but the quality was significantly worse.
Just in case you guys don't know, youtube does not accept the flash file format (even though it converts everything to flash) so that doesn't work. Also, if you guys want to give me recommendations for editing software that would be great too. Thanks,
Jason

high bitrate mp4 with aac audio isn't a bad choice, it's one of yt preferred formats. you can always convert to mp4 with handbrake or mediacoder after you capture with the 110.
