    is possible to make SVCD from avi file how to convert avi to mpeg2
    and how to burn it (on mac os 9)?????

    Dude, upgrade to OS X. But to answer your question. There is a program called AVI2MOV1.1.9 which will take the AVI to a MOV. From there in OS 9 you should be able to use Astarte M-Pack.

    Other than that, I only know how to do it in OS X.
