What is the best resolution I can get with VHS input to a capture card?
The best resolution with a PC TV card capture.
and the best resolution I can get with a digital camera / firewire input..

1.your resolution capture will be only as good as your vhs tape quality.
2.same thing depends on how good your tv signal is.
3.this one is going to give you very good piccies and is what I would use of all thre you mentioned. -
I guess my questions should have been is
What resolution do you normally get out of a VCR / VHS
and the resoultion of ot a digital camera..

I have a book that says 352X240 for vhs, and about 352X250 for High 8. Digital is just the way the information is stored on the tape, it dosen,t necessarily give you better resolution. Here is a link where you can find more info.
