Does the new p4 processors in the retail box come with the heatsink and the fan attached? or do you need the thermal paste to do that?

Don't you think that this might be the wrong forum for that question?!

They are not attached, but you don't need any paste - they have a layer on it for you.
Just plug it in, put the fan on, and away you go. Go slow if you've not done this before. Check the orientation, and be sure before you force it in the wrong way.
