    well i ripped a movie from dvd, and its in mpeg2 format, its 2 hours and 15 minutes long, when i was encoding it with tmpgenc it said that it would fit on dvd-r.
    but i tried to burn it with sonic mydvd and it won't let me, is there any other program i should try?

    file is 3.22 gb

    well if it says it won't fit on a dvd you prob need to lower the birate...

    Did you take into account the audio? IIRC, MyDVD converts the audio to 48khz, 16bit, stereo WAV file, IOW 1483.15 MB for a 2:15:00 long movie.
