Newbie needs help compressing MOVs with FCP

Im working with final cut pro...The compressions that come with the program are really no good. I would like to know how to get mpeg compression into FCP..or are there other programs i can use to compress a finished movie? I really want to compress for the net. Thank you so much!

FCP is excellent. If you don't get what you want from FCP it's your inexperienced approach causing this

Anyway - get QUICKTIME Pro with the MPEG4 component and you can create the smallest files imaginable. You can also use an expensive app. like Cleaner to do your encoding - but it's very SLOWWW..., though good quality. Also, using the RealProducer from realMedia will give you excellent streaming RealVideo.
