  1. hello !!!

    first , i have to say that this is the best forum in the net !!!!!

    ok now i have little problem my dvd cant read the svcd format , so i tried to put the vcd header , and the dvd can read it now but the picture frizze, any 2 sec ' or moving very slow . why ? what i need to do ?
    i did it with tmpegnc like that :
    1) FILE--->MPEG TOOLS -->
    Simple Multiplex
    2)i am choosing there the MPEG-1 Video-CD is it right ?
    3)the movie is in svcd in my pc ,so i did on it ,its ok? or i need to put the vcd header in movies that is in vcd format !

    some 1 can please help me !!!

  2. I take it you are referring to the 'VCD Header trick' used to persuade some DVD players to play SVCD's where they normally wouldn't. This does not work on all players and on mine (Panasonic RV41) only works if the SVCD is trictly standrds compliant. If the bitrate goes above the maximum allowed it freezes and stutters just like you described.

    The most likley reason for freezing and stuttering like this is that the DVD player simply cannot read the data from the CD media quick enough to decode and display it in real time. If this is the case with your player (and you don't say what it is) then it simply won't play SVCD's no matter what you do, sorry.
