  1. Every one of my movies I have in DIVX look great..they look pretty good in SVCD but for some reason they all look like they are skipping frames..

when people walk its smooth but then it looks like they jump a frame ahead....

is there a setting with TMPEGnc I can change when I convert to get rid of the jumpiness?

most of the movie is very clear but I also get frames that are blocky also..

    any ideas on that also?

    thanks!

  2. You might be referring to the same problem that I am having when low resolution and low bitrate MPEG-2 video is being played with WinDVD. Annoying!
I simply play with WMP (Ligos codec).

Have you tried deinterlacing your video?
You will find the option in configuration\advanced.
    Blend should work ok.

Now, if you can clarify for me...

Does "De-Interlace" mean to have it remove frames from playback, to bring a 29.97 framed move down to FILM rate? I would do this using "auto Inverce Telecine" feature...

    OR

Does "De-Interlace" just mean flipping field order from bottom to top? Or vise-versa?

I still get utterly confused on this stuff... and now that I'm trying SVCD-type material, it MATTERS. Ugh.

    Thanks!

  6. Did you try to set "Motion Search Precision" to highest quality when using TMPGenc? This will get rid of jerky motion, but the drawback is that it will take a long time for the conversion process. It worked for me.
