My favorite TV show taken off the air

"Firefly" - a sci-fi show on Fox that's actually WELL WRITTEN (imagine THAT) is going off the air after less than a season. The funny thing is, after the first few shows I actually told my wife, "this show won't last long - it's too good." Meanwhile, SURVIVOR and it's yet-still-more-insipid knockoffs continue.

I only saw the first episode of Firefly, did it get better, get worse, or stay about the same after that?

atleast your show had a decent timeslot.. futurama got boned because it has the dreaded 6:00pm sunday timeslot.. which is almost always a guaranteed pre-emptment.. then fox shows it way later at night.. but fox doesnt give a ****.. they'll show 3 re-runs instead of a new futurama episode.. ahwell though.. it was good while it lasted.. it fought hard to live.. but death has come..

I forget the first one. Was it the train heist? If so, it got a little better, IMO (character development), but that was pretty good already.

Yeah, it was the train robbery where they turn around and decide to be good people. I wasn't too impressed by it, but to each his own.
