  1. I use leadtek winfast 2000xp capture card. The software that comes with it doesn't have an option to block commericals when recording tv shows. what software program out there lets you do this?

  2. Nothing does this. Get real man, no software could acutally tell the difference between the show you are watching and a commerical.

  3. I wouldn't be surprised if there is some type of carrier signal that is modulated to signal network affiliates that the "insert a local commercial" period has started and stopped. This is just a hunch because this seems like the type of task a small local station would want to automate. If this type of signal does exist, it would not be surprising if the signal was in the satellite downfeed from the network, but was filtered out by the affiliate before local broadcast. Just hunches, take it or leave it.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  4. Doesn't Tivo block commercials? I'm suprised no software out there can block commericals when recording. This really sucks. I guess I'm going to have to manually remove the commericals then. God damn it!
