Hi,

Before purchasing a Sony DRU500a I tested my Tokai (715) DVD Player with a movie burned on DVD-R from Infiniti and this worked perfectly.
( a Pioneer dvd-r gave me the option : incorrect disc when trying to play )

I purchased then the sony dru500a but received in stead of Infinity dvd-r, DataTrack v2.0 media ( 100 ... )
When I burned a movie (IfoEdit and Nero udf/iso, 1.02, single speed) I could not play this on my tokai. I received the nice message : unknown disc.

When connecting the dvd player (internal is a panasonic in tokai) to my pc he could recognize and play datatrack dvd-r without a problem.
I upgraded the tokai with a hacked firmware (region free, macrovision free and able to play 'non-standard' mpeg)
Now my datatrack dvd-r's is recognized and I can play it.
even my Pioneer dvd-r that I couldn't play before works now.

Problem is that when I insert this dvd-r in kenwood dvd player it will not play.
I would like to purchase a surround system wherer the dvd player is included in the set but I would like to play my datatrack dvd-r's on it as well.

Do you have an idea if I burned my movie 'incompatible'.
How do you explain that I could read inifinity dvd-rs without patching my tokai and that it was not able to read datatrack dvd'rs.
On forums I read people are happy about datatrack and that it could play even on PS2 and many stand alone players but I just want to make sure if it does.

Test with OptoDisc dvd-rw and Infiniti DVD+RW failed even on the patched Tokai 715.

I have changed the Panasonic DVD Player with a Pioneer player and now
I'm able to read dvd-r/+r but when testing my burned dvd's on a new Sony DAV-S880 only my Infiniti DVD+RW worked ...
Still looking further for a media that is working on my current standalone dvd player and my futher dvd-player

Any comments on this would be appreciated.
