I am trying to capture svcd. I am using ATI aiw 8500DV. The capture occurs fine, but when I play back through PC, quick motion reveals horizontal lines. It looks okay through the TV monitor though. Throught he computer monitor it looks like crap. Especially for sporting events.
Any suggestions.
Matt

I'm not familiar with the ATI capture hardware/software, but that type of problem is usually from interlacing. If you were to play it on a set-top player it would be fine because your TV is interlaced anyway, but a computer monitor isn't.

OK, I'm not creating videos for SVCD or to watch on TV but for distribution to friends on the internet. I'm getting the same interling lines as mentioned above.
What do I do to remove this interlacing problem?
