Does anyone have a Innovation Universal A/V Converter VGA Box ( pictured here: http://store.yahoo.com/joyluckshop/noname1.html ) ?? I was under the impression that hooking it up to a PC with a VGA card was optional. Well, I hooked it up to my monitor, then I hooked up the DVD player, XBOX, Playstation, and Dreamcast to it but the picture quality was not 4x the normal resolution as they claimed it would be. In fact, it was worse than a normal TV. Is this because I need to plug the box up to a PC with a VGA card?
If anyone has this or knows if you have to plug it into a PC to get the promised resolution, holla back.

Nope, it appears to be a standalone cheezy line doubler. Any refrerence to 4x the resolution is bunk. It is "doubiling: the resolution by repainting each line twice, but that is the extent of it's abilities.
The Viewsonic TV->VGA box got some good reviews from A/V geeks over at the http://www.avsforum.com/ . You can search for it over there by the name VB50 ( I think ) and "Cheesebox" ( not sure if it one or two words ).

snow,
Well what you say would make sense if they didn't have a slot in the back of it for a VGA Card. THink about this.Visit my webpage at:
