  1. can anyone help? i've created a dvd from a studio 8 project, chose to save the dvd content and burned it with nero (5.5.9.17) the dvd will play on my denon dvd 1500 standalone player but with severall other stand alone players it won't play. Also created some backups of normal dvd movies using the same media and also burned it with nero, these dvd do play on the players which won't play the "studio dvd". After i looked at the content of the dvd a saw there where a lot of folders, tried to rip the dvd again using only the video_ts folder, this also didn't solve the problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

  2. Interesting. I created small (10 minutes) project last weekend with Studio 8 and was able to play it on Koss and Mintek player. I also burned VIDEO_TS with Nero. Which version of Nero do you have ?

    How can I tell if I have Nero 5.5.9.17.0 or 5.5.9.17.1 ?

  3. i have the new version of nero so that shouldn't be a problem.
I've found a samsung dvd player which accepts the dvd but the menubuttons won't work, with the first dvd (the one with all the extra folders) i could simply press a number button (1 to go to chapter one) with the second dvd the menu still doesn't work and the numberbuttons also don't work anymore. And again on my denon player everything works fine. Tried 4 different dvd players now.
    Anyone have some other suggestions???

  4. 1. It might be a problem if you have "latest" Nero. Just read my post. Some people have issue with "latest" Nero version.

    2. I just remebred that my menu was acting funny... I didn't have chance to do more experimenting, but what helped is...

    A. I increased time for menu (about 20s)
    B. I added backround music (their smart sound or what is the name)

After this my menu worked as it should. Before menu buttons were kind of "blinking"... and I had a hard time to choose one.

LET ME KNOW IF IT HELPED.

  5. don't think nero is the problem since i don't have any trouble with other dvd's only the one created with studio.
Do you know of a way to reconvert the dvd files back so it can be read in studio again, i've deleted the original videofiles and the studio project.
If not no problem i'll just try your sugestions with a new project.

Ooops !!! Not good.... Not suggested before DVD plays as it should... Sorry... I don't know how to go back, but there shoudl be a way. Try to look for some guide as it was commercial DVD. I believe that Studio 8 can accept mpeg2 and if you follow some rules, it might even not re-encode.

AND AGAIN... PLEAS POST RESULT OF NEW PROJECT IF IT HELPED.

    Thanks...

  7. I've succeeded in getting back the files from DVD, first i ripped the dvd using dvd2dvdr, loaded the m2v and wav file into arcsoft showbiz and put the video and audio files together, saved as a dvd compatible mpg file and used ulead dvd factory to create the new menu, created a new video_ts folder with dvd factory and burned it with nero, now the dvd plays normaly
I'm still wondering what went wrong using studio 8 but i will try to create this dvd with studio 8 again and see what happens
