Is it possible to backup a copy of a dvd which has one or more places where the movie either skips frames or gets momentarily frozen?
I ask this question because I tried making a backup copy of a movie with just this problem using Gordian Knot. The Divx file which I created has great looking video, but the sound ends at the very first skip in the video; the video continues on.
Is there an easy way to work around this problem?

I've had a couple of DVDs that skipped, and found they were pretty beaten up ... scratches and stuff. Went out and bought a scratch repair kit for $8. Used it and no more skips. Don't know if it'll work for you, but it did for me.
