All of a sudden TMPGEnc will not accept *.d2v files as the video source.
I use smartripper to rip the DVD then use DVD2AVI to create the video source .d2v file and the audio source .wav it accepts the .wav file. Not doing anything differently. It just says unrecognisable format. I have transferred all data to a new HD though but all programs run ok? Anyone else have this prob. I've tried reinstalling TMPGEnc.

ANy help would be very much appreciated

Not sure but I think you need to increase the priority of VFAPI in the environmental settings inTMPG.

And check you have re-installed the VFAPI plugin.

  3. Have you changed any VFAPI settings?

Ensure that you have TMPGEnc's VFAPI plugin [TMPGENC.vfp] which you can get from thier site, and also DVD2AVI's VFAPI plugin [DVD2AVI.vfp].

I find that it helps to move all DVD2AVI files from ...program files\dvd2avi\ folder [inclucing dvd2avi.exe and it's vfp file] to the TMPGEnc program folder.

Put the vfp files in there too. In DVD2AVI go to the help menu item and ensure that VFAPI Plugin is ticked.

In TMPGEnc go to Option\Environmental setting and ensure that both programs vfp files appear in the list. Then tick Register TMPGEnc.vfp to VFAPI in the Option menu item.

    That should do it.
